ASHGABAT - 2017

5th AIMAG (Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games)
Ashgabat, 17 – 27 September 2017 White-marbled capital city Ashgabat is preparing to host a massive event, Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games. Event is estimated to receive about 5,500 athletes from 62 countries (Asia and Oceania), and around 150,000 spectators from around the world. Competition venue Ashgabat Olympic Complex is ready for this colorful sportive festival. It has unprecedented sports units, healthcare center, major stadium and many others. Monorail system is serving the guests and athletes to transport between the complexes and nearby residences.

Competitions include 21 disciplines of sports: Chess, Futsal, Tennis, Muay, Sambo, Kurash , Ju-Jitsu, Bowling, Cycling Track, Short Course Swimming, Basketball 3/3, Weightlifting, Indoor Athletics, Taekwondo, Dance Sport, Kick-boxing, Belt Wrestling, Wrestling, Billiard Sports, Equestrian (Jumping), Traditional Wresting.

Representative 62 Olympic Committees that will take part in the event: Afghanistan, American Samoa, Australia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, China, Chinese Taipei, Fiji, Guam, Hong Kong (China), India, Indonesia, Iran, Philippines, Iraq, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kiribati, Korea, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Macao (China), Malaysia, Maldives, Marshal Islands, Micronesia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nauru, Nepal, New Zealand, North Korea, Oman, Pakistan, Palau, Palestine, Papua New Guinea, Qatar, Samoa, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Syria, Thailand, Tajikistan, Timor Leste, Tonga, Turkmenistan, Tuvalu, UAE, Uzbekistan, Vanuatu, Vietnam and Yemen.
